Travertine

Travertine is sedimentary rock formed as calcium carbonate is deposited from the water of natural mineral springs. The stone is characterised by a honey-combed structure with surface pitting. We offer travertine in its natural “unfilled” state where the holes are filled with grout during installation. We also offer “filled” travertine where the holes are filled with stone resin in the originating quarry. The filled travertine offers a much smoother finish but may still require some further filling as holes may appear after manufacture or transportation.
