Marble

Marble is a metamorphic rock resulting from the metamorphism of limestone. It has been used for centuries and can be seen in some of the greatest Roman and Greek buildings. The range of colours is vast from black to white with characteristic swirls and veins of bright colours due to mineral impurities such as clay, silt, iron oxides or chert.
